Local Dealership Employees Raise over £1000 for Cancer Research UK.

On Sunday 10thJune, Nowton Park in Bury St Edmunds hosted the 18thRace for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK. Taking part were four employees (along with 3 of their children) from Cecil & Larter in Bury St Edmunds, the local SEAT and Volvo dealership.

Calling themselves the ‘Cecil & Larter-ettes’, Alison Larke (SEAT Sales Manager), Dee Newman, Lesley & Freyja Mead, Laura, Tegan & Millie Dean donned pink t-shirts, feather boas and face glitter and took part in the 5K course. They have so far raised over £1000 in sponsorship for a cause close to their hearts.

The Cecil & Larter-ettes had an amazing morning, and all of them mentioned the positive atmosphere at Nowton Park. Complete strangers shouted motivational messages to each other, there were lots of smiles, the Marshalls cheered on the participants and despite sore feet, the Cecil & Larter-ettes all enjoyed themselves and all were very proud of each other. They were also very appreciative of all of their sponsors.

Ray Cawston, Managing Director of Cecil & Larter also praised his employees; ‘I am very proud that not only have they raised a very impressive amount of sponsorship, but that they chose to represent the dealership at such a worthwhile event. It’s also great to see that their work colleagues all sponsored their efforts.’
